The 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution is a sedan available in GSR and MR trim levels. Evolution uses a 291-horsepower turbocharged engine and features a standard all-wheel-drive system that comprises three selectable modes for a variety of driving conditions. The GSR receives the five-speed manual while the MR gets the six-speed Sportronic transmission. The transmission offers three shift programs: Normal, Sport and S-Sport. Sport grips lower gears longer and shifts more swiftly than Normal, while S-Sport optimizes performance for the racetrack.The Evolution appears with a retuned exhaust note and enhanced electronics and Mitsubishi’s new Fuse system enables drivers to call up song from a docked MP3 player.
